  • Pages now offer a shared searchable catalog of business and organization types in create and edit forms, including hotels, restaurants and museums; detailed types remain grouped under the existing directory categories.
  • Added custom HTML source editing for email templates, including full email documents and fragments, HTML previews, escaped recipient placeholders, required action links, and automatically generated plain text alternatives. Existing text templates and SMS OTPs retain their plain text format.
  • Added Admin → Email & OTP Templates for password recovery, signup welcomes, account confirmation, support updates, promo gifts, and login/registration/recovery SMS codes. Invitations remain available across the main site, settings, admin pages, and call windows.
  • Added private audio and video calls in a separate browser window, including group invitations, mixed audio and video participants, screen sharing, device controls, realtime incoming calls, host moderation, and admin settings. Implemented · 7

  • Added isolated, fail-open Redis caching for feed media metadata and bounded ranking queries; batched media serialization and reused fresh viewer filters to eliminate repeated SQL, with transaction-safe invalidation and live privacy/new-post checks.
  • Connected published jobs, events, blogs, articles and marketplace listings to the news feed with source-aware visibility, lifecycle synchronization and rich previews; adopted existing event announcements and retained followed-page ranking, publication dates and per-user view tracking.
  • The home news feed now ranks posts by relationships, interests, recent interactions, freshness and bounded engagement; refreshes rotate available posts, scrolling uses stable snapshots, and viewport impressions respect personalization preferences and current privacy rules.
  • Weather on the Wall and forecast page now checks for updates every minute while visible and refreshes after returning or reconnecting. Refreshes preserve existing forecasts, location/unit selections, feed posts, stories, sidebars, and drafts; hidden tabs pause checks and overlapping requests are coalesced.
  • Stories now update automatically through private realtime notifications and a 30-second visible-tab fallback, including refresh after reconnect or returning to the page. Story privacy is checked on every fetch; the feed, sidebars, active story playback, and reply drafts stay in place.
  • Implemented a responsive Messenger presentation within the existing messaging routes, including inbox, conversation, and details layouts, message-request actions, group polls and membership controls, shared message pins, upload cancellation, and text drafts that survive reloads. Mobile audio-call screens reuse existing call state, and existing conversation histories are preserved.
  • Routed existing post, comment, and message reports into moderation cases and restricted legacy content and report administration controls to administrators.

Fixed · 23

  • Removed Share controls from private and standalone attachment photos and fixed GIF/sticker picker pointer access, focus and keyboard handling inside the photo viewer.
  • Treat Born posts as the beginning of profile history using the actual birthdate for timeline ordering, calendar filters and displayed dates, including late additions and existing posts.
  • Event creation now saves selected city map coordinates for group and community events, and event pages show a location map card above the guests section with a directions link.
  • The Friends sidebar link now consistently opens All friends, including after switching to Suggestions; suggestions remain available in their dedicated tab.
  • Weather now displays a resolved device city and country, requests undecided browser permission, and falls back to local IP geolocation when device access is denied or unavailable. Pending device results cannot override revoked permission, and cached forecasts no longer retain generic or unrelated location names.
  • Made automatic story and weather refreshes visually silent, including empty story lists and transient failures. Initial placeholders and errors no longer reappear during background refreshes, existing content stays visible, and weather refresh controls retain their appearance.
  • Fixed uploaded wordmarks shrinking into the header’s square icon slot. Automatic logo sizing preserves image proportions and space at smaller breakpoints, supports explicit dimensions, and serves the original upload to preserve transparency and avoid image-derivative artifacts.
  • Separated call-start, join, and invitation rate limits so reconnects and other API activity cannot consume the next call’s start allowance.
  • Fixed long composer text overlapping AI tools and attachment controls by bounding the visible editor, preserving automatic size measurement, and enabling internal scrolling.
  • Kept sticky comment composers above mobile navigation and the on-screen keyboard so attachment and send controls remain reachable in long discussions.
  • Fixed comment input alignment and dock spacing, restored the avatar column on mobile, moved the character count out of the input controls, and kept multiline comments sized correctly when the available width changes.
  • Removed automatic date, holiday, and time-of-day searches from the GIF picker. Every opening starts with an empty search field and trending GIFs; manual search remains available.
  • Removed the inner focus outline from the All tools search field while retaining its neutral container focus feedback.
  • Removed the rounded marketplace item title hover background and used an underline for hover and keyboard focus.
  • Replaced the header logo hover background with an opacity transition on the logo mark only, keeping the brand name steady on hover and applying a gentle 1% press scale to both the icon and text on click.
  • Removed the story reply input outline, opened emoji reactions on focus, and added an animated reaction burst. Story reactions remain available when post reactions or story text replies are disabled, while enforcing messaging privacy and account restrictions.
  • Restored original post media, attachments, GIFs, previews, and locked content handling in repost modals; added View original post to feed and modal repost menus.
  • Fixed comment action dropdowns opening behind the photo viewer by raising their portal layer above the viewer.
  • Aligned heart emojis with reaction labels and counts, and kept compact action icons clear of mobile label clipping.
  • Preserved the existing global reaction switch and disabled default: posts and comments use Heart when disabled and Like with the reaction picker when enabled, sharing the same stored reactions and total count. Love reactions use the ❤️ emoji consistently in actions, pickers, summaries, and reactor badges. Restored visible Repost/undo controls with accurate counts in feed cards and post details.
  • Removed outer focus outlines and inner input rings from comment and reply composers, including the photo viewer.
  • Corrected nested comment reply indentation and continuous connector lines from parent avatars through replies, including compact previews and deeper conversations.
  • Separated private messages from social notifications: new messages and forwards use the messaging realtime stream only, and historical message alerts no longer appear in notification lists or unread counts. Cleaned legacy mention markup from notification previews.

Security · 11

  • Added shared last-seen and online privacy with public, friends, friends-and-followers, and hidden audiences; searchable reciprocal exclusions; controls in Privacy, Messaging, and chat menus; and live last-seen labels in Messenger and chat shortcuts. API resources, discovery filters, and WebSocket delivery enforce the same policy.
  • Completed account blocking across website interactions, Messenger, calls, and notifications, with separate profile/message-and-call controls, independent ownership, profile/chat menu actions, paginated management, and live privacy updates.
  • Added isolated moderation evidence, audit records, and notification coverage, with legacy-report linking and documented moderation operating procedures.
  • Documented protected-media classification, active delivery configuration, and safety conditions for rolling out protected delivery.
  • Added protected-media delivery authorized against the owning record, a legacy-media inventory and resumable migration, with coverage for post, Story, message, group, community, and blog media.
  • Enforced call privacy preferences and call-specific blocks, preserved safe leave and end behavior after privacy changes, and added recovery controls when call-window details fail to load.
  • Enforced time-limited account and feature sanctions in backend actions and allowed distinct report reasons for the same active reported target.
  • Allowed SVG site logos in admin Appearance settings while preserving vector files and removing active content before storage.
  • Closed protected-media access through staff IDs unless the staff member has an assigned active case, and removed internal appeal notes from member responses.
  • Required the current password before creating an account data export.
  • Closed direct-URL access to registered restricted media while keeping public identity and public content cacheable.

Localization · 13

  • Published 165,753 additional reviewed translations and corrected event, relationship, moderation, support, feed, following, and AI wording. Preserved identifiers and numeric limits, fixed recipient-count grammar, and retained specific backend validation rules and opaque labels. Offline drafts remain unpublished; 51 language packs remain partial.
  • Published 2,012 reviewed translations across 64 language packs, correcting altered amounts, upload limits, and context errors while protecting configured names and member text. Added reviewed ICU country labels and resumed saved offline drafts. At this checkpoint, 58 packs had complete coverage and 68 remained partial.
  • Continued work across all 68 partial language packs: published 1,137 reviewed interface translations and 592 calendar labels, and added 392 native relative-time groups across 57 packs. Corrected contextual and numeric draft errors and added a resumable offline draft queue with saved progress and numeric review flags. Drafts remain unpublished pending source and target review; 58 packs had complete coverage and 68 remained partial at this checkpoint.
  • Completed Czech and Slovak coverage for all 10,188 supplied interface keys. Added 4,491 directly authored Danish and Norwegian Bokmål/Nynorsk translations with native count and time grammar. Corrected distinctions between job applications and software settings, and between answering calls and replying to questions. At this checkpoint, 58 packs had complete coverage and 68 remained partial.
  • Continued Czech and Slovak translations through source index 5,349, publishing 2,397 Czech and 2,402 Slovak main-batch entries plus contextual corrections. Preserved the Georgia font identifier across installed languages. At this checkpoint, 56 packs had complete supplied-key coverage and 70 remained partial.
  • Completed Swedish coverage for all 10,188 supplied interface keys, reviewed support, payment, profile terminology, and count grammar, and added 247 Czech and 248 Slovak translations. At this checkpoint, 56 packs had complete coverage and 70 remained partial.
  • Completed Urdu supplied-key coverage, reviewed all 830 inherited Thai translations, expanded Swedish, Czech, and Slovak coverage, and translated new email and OTP template controls across completed packs. The recorded 10,188-key checkpoint had 55 complete packs and 71 partial packs.
  • Continued direct translations across all 126 installed locales. Added detection of English fallbacks that differ only in case or spacing, plus an audit covering the full catalog. Corrected marketplace, profile-completeness, anonymous-answer, and system-health labels while protecting configured branding and member content. Language coverage remains partial; remaining gaps are tracked in the localization checkpoint.
  • Added source and language-pack localization audits, installed-locale formatting checks, content-hash cache versioning, and resumable offline translation drafts. Drafting preserves literal API paths and placeholders, keeps reviewable saved results, and requires human review before publication. Missing grammar remains a native-review task, and coverage across the 126 installed locales remains partial.
  • Updated the installed language catalog to 126 locales by removing South Azerbaijani and Tahitian and cleaning up saved preferences and overrides. Expanded principal and regional packs, completed supplied-key coverage for German, Spanish, Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, Indonesian, Greek, Korean, Vietnamese, and Hindi website and admin interfaces, corrected French terminology, and supplied 15,396 missing currency labels from native ICU data. Translation work remains incomplete: 55 packs have complete supplied-key coverage and 71 remain partial, with source-language fallbacks still in use.
  • Clarified that Admin Languages coverage measures supplied keys rather than verified translation quality. Coverage cannot display 100% while keys are missing, and English/source fallback is explained separately from the website default. Added the coverage and fallback phrases to the six principal non-English packs and translated required password-strength policy labels before interpolation.
  • Added complete native count and relative-time templates with override and deletion precedence and native-digit plural matching, while preserving grammatical case, counters, and member-written content. Separated ambiguous clothing, paragraph, priority, archive, schedule, support-rating, report-dismissal, and saved-item labels. Story previews and shared logos derive initials from the configured website name. Separated runtime-environment labels from ecological categories, used complete localized employer phrases, and corrected notice-dismissal, financial-tip, and flower-sculpture terminology.
  • Localized website and admin interface text and validation feedback, replaced fixed visible website names with the configured site name, and preserved member content and brand interpolation. Separated ambiguous publishing, replay, and open labels and normalized installed locale codes for date formatting and plural selection.
